1. Nature of the Reference
Rahway Residents Directory is privately operated. It describes and links to Rahway-area public rolls, record indexes, and historical directory collections. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with any office, court, or custodian.
2. Permitted Use
Use this reference only for lawful purposes. You may not use it, or anything located through it, to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make FCRA-regulated decisions, including credit, employment, housing, or insurance decisions
- Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
- Interfere with the site's operation or security
3. No Consumer Reporting Service
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing in this reference or returned by a linked search tool is a consumer report. It may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.
4. Outside Resources
Government portals and third-party services, including sponsored search tools, set their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their content, availability, prices, or data practices.
5. No Warranty
The reference is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties. We do not promise that any detail is accurate, complete, current, or that a linked portal will remain available or return correct results.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the reference or a linked resource, including decisions made from information found through them.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the reference operators harmless from claims or demands, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from misuse of the reference or a breach of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original text, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Links and brief attributed excerpts are permitted; full-page republication or systematic copying is not.
9. Term Updates
We may post revised terms here. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance.
10. Access Restrictions
We may block or restrict access, without notice, when a user violates these terms or abuses the reference.
11. Governing Law
New Jersey law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-record requests referenced in the material are governed separately by the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., as amended by P.L. 2024, c.16.
12. Severability
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms remain effective.
